Today, we travel into the Rif Mountains, passing the Spanish-style city of Tetouan and the small hillside villages of the Jbala people. As we follow the winding mountain roads, we reach Chefchaouen, known as the “Blue Pearl.” The rest of the day is yours to explore its narrow streets, enjoy the peaceful vibe, and relax in its famous plaza.
Get ready for a day full of history as we travel to Fez. Our first stop is the old Roman city of Volubilis, where you can see ancient mosaics and ruins. Then, we visit the city of Meknes, exploring its big gates and walls built by Sultan Moulay Ismail. Finally, we arrive in Fez, the center of Morocco’s culture and traditions.
Get ready to discover the Fez medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site full of life and color. Your guide will take you through narrow streets filled with the smells of spices, the bright colors of fabrics, and the busy work of local craftsmen. Today, we travel south across the Middle Atlas Mountains. We pass through large cedar forests, where Barbary macaques often appear, and then cross wide-open plains.
