Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Ouarzazate toward the spectacular Todgha Gorge, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural canyons. After exploring the gorge and enjoying lunch in the area, continue toward the Sahara Desert.
By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the desert landscape. Here, embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes as the sun sets over the Sahara.
Arrive at your desert camp where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, local music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.
Your day starts with an amazing sunrise over the sand dunes of the Sahara. After a filling breakfast at the camp, we set off for a full day of exploring the desert. We travel by 4×4 vehicle, driving off-road to visit a nomadic Berber family. You will be welcomed with traditional mint tea and have the chance to sit with them, learn about their daily life, and understand their culture.
Next, we continue to the old, abandoned mines of Mefis, then travel to the village of Khamlia. There, you will enjoy the strong and spiritual sounds of live Gnawa music. Depending on the season, we may also stop at Lake Merzouga, a temporary lake where migratory birds gather.
After a lunch break, we take you to your Riad near the sand dunes. The afternoon is free for you to relax, swim in the pool, or take a peaceful walk in the sand. Dinner will be served at the Riad. If you wish, you can also choose to spend another magical night at the desert camp under the stars.
Wake early to admire a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast at the Riad/camp, return to Merzouga and continue your journey through Rissani, a historic desert town known for its traditional market and rich cultural heritage.
Then drive through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its impressive palm groves and scenic landscapes. Enjoy panoramic stops along the way before continuing toward the Middle Atlas Mountains.
By evening, arrive in Midelt, a peaceful town located between the High Atlas and Middle Atlas Mountains, where you will spend the night.
After breakfast, continue your journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may encounter the famous Barbary macaque monkeys.
Next, visit the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its alpine-style architecture and clean streets.
Continue toward Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic and cultural cities. Arrival in the afternoon, where your desert adventure concludes.
