Begin your journey at Ouarzazate and make your way to Marrakech across the magnificent southern Moroccan landscapes. Ancient kasbahs, beautiful landscapes, and typical Berber communities that showcase the area’s rich history and culture may be found along the road. The journey continues toward the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you may take a serene camel ride across the Sahara and spend a memorable night in a comfortable desert camp under the stars before continuing on your picturesque route toward Marrakech.
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Ouarzazate toward the spectacular Todgha Gorge, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural canyons. After exploring the gorge and enjoying lunch in the area, continue toward the Sahara Desert.
By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the desert landscape. Here, embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes as the sun sets over the Sahara.
Arrive at your desert camp where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, local music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.
Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and continue your journey through Rissani, a historic desert town known for its traditional market and cultural heritage.
Travel through the scenic Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continue toward Aït Benhaddou, the legendary UNESCO-listed fortified village that has served as the backdrop for many international films.
Finally, cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views and authentic Berber villages along the way before arriving in Marrakech in the evening, where your desert adventure ends.
