Your 3-day desert tour from Essaouira starts with pick-up from your hotel or riad around 8:00 am. We drive through the Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we stop to enjoy the views, take photos, and stretch our legs.
Our main stop is at Ait Ben Haddou, a famous historic village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have time to walk around the kasbah and explore the old buildings. Many well-known movies and TV series were filmed here.
In the afternoon, we continue to Ouarzazate. Before going to the hotel, we visit a film studio where several movies were made. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and travel through the beautiful Draa Valley, famous for its long palm groves and traditional villages. We stop along the way to enjoy the views and take photos.
In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, near the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will ride camels across the dunes to reach the desert camp. Enjoy the sunset, dinner, and local music, then spend the night under the stars.
Early in the morning, you can watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we return to Merzouga village by camel or vehicle.
We then drive toward the Todra Gorges, passing through small towns and palm oases. At the gorges, you will have free time to walk between the high rock walls and enjoy the fresh air. In the afternoon, we continue to Boumalne Dades, where you will spend the night in a local hotel or riad.
After breakfast, we leave Boumalne Dades and drive through El Kelaa M’Gouna, known as the capital of roses. This area is famous for its rose fields and local products.
We then continue to the Skoura Oasis, where we visit the Amridil Kasbah, a well-preserved kasbah dating back to the 17th century. You will have time to explore the kasbah and learn about traditional life in the oasis.
After the visit, we continue our journey toward Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and passing Berber villages along the way. We arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of the tour.
